The cow is a domestic animal. It has two eyes, two ears, four legs, two horns and one long tail.Cow eats grass. The cow is a very useful animal. It is gentle. It lives in a cowshed. It moos.
The young ones of cow is called as calf. An adult male is called as bull. Bulls that are used in farming and to provide transportation. An adult female is called a cow. Cow gives us milk, which is used to produce yogurt, butter, ghee , paneer, cheese, buttermilk and sweets. Hence cow is considered as back bone of rural society.
Cow urine or “Gau Mutra” has a unique place in Ayurveda. Cow urine is used to produce an ayurvedic medicines. Cow dung is used as fuel for kitchen fires in villages. Cow dung in India is called as Gobar. Gobar mixed with gau mutra makes for excellent fertilizers and gobar gas.
Cow is a gift of god and is worshiped in India. Kamdhenu, is considered to grant all wishes. It is believed that she emerged from Samudramanthan . She is also called Surabhi, Shaval and Aditi. She is the mother of all cows.
Cow is considered as Lakshmi in India.
